It's a good time, and long overdue, for me to get this blog off the bench and onto the ice.
I'll be blogging about all things Icers - keeping you up to date on what's happening with the team and the 70th anniversary activities that will culminate with the Alumni Weekend on February 5-6.
The blog will be a work in progress throughout the season. In the near future, I hope to be able to add video highlights and interviews with the players and coaches.
Once again this season, I'll be calling all the Icers action through our good friends at Fight On State, thanks to the great behind-the-scenes work of FOS webmaster Tom McLaughlin.
Another guy to thank right off the bat is Rodney Martin, aka 'Rodman'. Rodney is the brains behind the official Icers website, and the other "Voice of the Icers" as the PA announcer at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion. There are NHL teams that would be glad to have his talent on the team!
You'll recall that Rodney ran a poll on the website, asking if you'd like us to add video to our webcasts during the upcoming season. The results were overwhelmingly in favor. We hope to have some exciting news for you very soon!
Finally, I want to hear from you! Game time or down time, you can email me or send me an instant message to icersman at Yahoo! Messenger. In addition, you can drop by my Facebook page.
