The King and His Court

No -- I'm not talking about the late barnstorming softball pitcher Eddie Feigner!

In addition to being named one of the three co-captains of this year's Icers team (along with John Conte and Steve Thurston), senior forward Matt Kirstein is a member of Penn State's 2009 Homecoming Court.

Matt had a breakout season in his junior year, finishing 3rd in scoring (behind Tim O'Brien and Lucas DeLorenzo), scoring 17 goals and adding 25 assists in 41 games.  In addition, Matt was +30 in 2008-09, meaning he was on the ice for 30 more goals scored by the Icers than by their opponents.

Not only is he a force on the ice, but he did a pretty good job as my first half analyst during the Blue/White game.  He's already got a job on Wall St. lined up after graduation, but who knows -- could hockey analyst be in the future?
